How We Serve the Gabo Foundation as Their IT Management
What did we encounter? When we took on the challenge of becoming the IT Management for the Gabo Foundation, we knew it was not just any organization: it is a reference point for journalism and ethics throughout Ibero-America. But as happens in many institutions that have grown quickly, there was a bit of everything:
- Platforms and portals that worked... but were not interconnected.
- Legacy tools that, while they served their purpose, did not offer the current functionalities needed by the Foundation.
- And, above all, a team full of ideas, but lacking the capacity to turn those ideas into reality.
What did we do at Jerrejerre?
- We helped rethink and modernize the Foundation's website.
- We migrated to more secure and easy-to-maintain technologies.
- We documented clear support, backup, and monitoring processes so that everything keeps working, even when no one is looking.
- We worked hand-in-hand with the Foundation's team, helping them better leverage digital tools and resolve both large and small queries.
- We are currently advancing component design work, taking into account the best UX/UI practices.
And how did it go? Really well. We have managed to interpret all technology-related processes. We can say that we manage 100% of the software assets, licensing, technical support, and even better: the Foundation has an ally like Jerrejerre that helps in the day-to-day to make the Gabo Foundation a benchmark.
